A lash lift reshapes the lashes you already have rather than adding anything to them. Your lashes are set against a silicone shield sized to your eye, then a softening solution relaxes the bond that holds each lash straight and a second solution locks the new curve in place. The result is your own lash line, opened up from the base, looking like you are wearing mascara when you are not.
It suits people whose lashes are a decent length but grow downward, which is more common than most realise and is why mascara sometimes seems to do nothing. Lifting from the root changes how much of the lash is actually visible. It also opens the eye in a way that reads as rested rather than made up.
Tinting is usually done in the same sitting because the two together are what removes the need for mascara. A lift alone gives you shape; a tint gives you definition, and it makes a real difference to fair or grey-tipped lashes that disappear at the ends. We can tint brows at the same time, which is the most common pairing we do.
It lasts six to eight weeks, which is roughly one full lash growth cycle, and it fades out gradually rather than dropping all at once. There is nothing to fill and nothing to maintain. Keep the area dry for the first day and avoid oil-based cleansers around the eye, and the curl will hold.
Allow about an hour for a lift and tint together. You lie down with your eyes closed for most of it, which a fair number of people treat as the point of the appointment.
It does not suit everyone, and we will say so. Very short or very sparse lashes have too little length for a shield to work with, and a lift on them tends to look like nothing happened. If you have had a recent eye infection, wear rigid contact lenses, or are using a lash growth serum, mention it when you book. And if you have never had a tint before, we patch test first. It is a small dye reaction risk on a part of the face where a reaction would matter a great deal.

How the appointment goes
Shield sizing
The shield sets how dramatic the curl is. A smaller shield gives a tighter lift, a larger one a softer opening.
Lift
Lashes are placed against the shield and the softening solution is applied, then timed to your lash thickness.
Set
A second solution locks the new shape in. This is the part that makes it last.
Tint
Applied last, worked through to the tips where fair lashes usually vanish.
Afterwards
- Keep the lashes dry for the first 24 hours, including steam.
- No oil-based cleanser or makeup remover around the eye.
- Brush through with a clean spoolie every morning.
- Do not use an eyelash curler. The lift has already done that job.

Keep them dry for the first day, avoid oil-based cleansers and makeup remover around the eye, brush them through gently with a clean spoolie, and skip the eyelash curler. Sleeping on your back helps them last noticeably longer.
It is the gentlest option we offer, which is why people with rosacea, eczema, or skin that reacts to wax tend to switch to it. Because there is no heat and nothing adhering to the skin, threading does not lift the top layer the way waxing can. If you use retinol, acids, or acne medication, tell us before we start so we can work around it.
