Eyebrow Threading & Shaping
Defined, sculpted arches designed for your face
A single cotton thread, no wax and no heat. The most precise way to shape a brow, and the reason most of our regulars first walked in.
Long before wax strips and tweezers, women across the Middle East and South Asia worked out that a single twisted thread, handled well, could shape a brow in seconds. That is still the whole technique. One length of cotton, twisted into a loop, rolled across the skin so it catches each hair and lifts it cleanly out of the follicle.
What makes it precise is that the thread grips the hair rather than the skin. Wax takes everything it touches, which is why a waxed brow has that slightly startled, over-thin look when it goes wrong. A thread takes one row at a time, so the line can be walked out gradually and checked against your face as it goes. If you want a fuller brow, we can take the strays and leave the shape alone. If you want something sharper, we can build it over two or three visits rather than committing you to it in one.
It is also the gentlest thing we do. There is no heat, nothing adhering to the skin, and no chemicals, so it does not lift the top layer the way wax can. That matters if you have rosacea or eczema, if you are on retinol or acne medication, or if your skin has simply had enough of waxing. Tell us what you are using before we start and we will work around it.
Because the hair comes out at the root rather than being cut at the surface, regrowth arrives soft and tapered instead of blunt. Most people find their cycle stretches out over a year of regular visits, and the hair that does come back is finer. It never grows back thicker. That is a myth with real staying power and no truth to it.
A full brow shape takes under ten minutes. Most people come in every two to four weeks, and plenty of them come in on the way somewhere else.

What to expect
How the appointment goes
We look at what you have
Your brows, your face, and what you actually want. If you have been growing them out, we will say so rather than taking them back down.
We agree the shape first
Fuller, sharper, or exactly as they are with the strays gone. Hair is easy to remove and slow to replace, so we decide before we start.
Threading
A row at a time, checking the line as it develops. Say something the moment it is not going where you wanted.
Soothe and finish
Cool compress, a mirror, and a proper look in daylight before you go.
Afterwards
- Skip makeup on the brow area for a few hours while the follicles close.
- No sun beds, saunas or hot yoga for the rest of the day.
- A little redness for an hour is normal, especially the first time.
- Aloe or a plain moisturiser is fine. Avoid acids and retinol overnight.
A look at the work
Threading
One length of cotton, twisted into a loop. That is the whole tool.
A shape that follows the bone rather than a template.
Questions
Asked and answered
Threading shapes the brow with a single twisted cotton thread. The thread catches each hair and lifts it cleanly from the follicle, so nothing touches the skin except cotton. No wax, no heat, no chemicals, and no pulling at the skin itself.
Most people describe it as a series of quick stings that fade within a minute or two. It is over fast, usually five to ten minutes for a full brow shape, and it gets easier every time you come back because the regrowth is finer.
It is the gentlest option we offer, which is why people with rosacea, eczema, or skin that reacts to wax tend to switch to it. Because there is no heat and nothing adhering to the skin, threading does not lift the top layer the way waxing can. If you use retinol, acids, or acne medication, tell us before we start so we can work around it.
No. That is a persistent myth. Hair removed at the root grows back at its original thickness or finer, and regular threading tends to make regrowth slower and softer over time, never coarser.
Every two to four weeks suits most people. Come in sooner if you want a sharp line held tightly, or stretch it out if you prefer a softer, more grown-in shape. We work with whatever cycle you keep rather than pushing a schedule.
