About the salon
A threading salon on Providence Hwy, staffed by people who do this all day and have the hands to show for it.
The Threading Place & Skincare sits inside The Link Walpole on Providence Hwy, and it is a threading salon first. Brows are what most people come in for, what the team does most often, and what everything else here was built around.
Our view on brows is straightforward: they should look like yours. A great many people arrive having been talked into a shape that suits a photograph rather than a face, and getting back from that takes patience more than skill. So the first part of any appointment is a conversation, and if you tell us you are growing them out, we will take the strays and leave the shape alone.
We also work on skin that other places turn away. Threading involves no heat and no chemicals, which makes it the option that still works when rosacea, eczema, retinol or acne medication have ruled out waxing. If you have been told to stop waxing your face, this is usually what you were meant to do instead.
Prices are published in full, there is no consultation fee, and nobody here works to a script. If a cheaper service would get you the same result, that is the one you will be offered.
The team
Devyani Basnet owns the salon and works in it, which is a smaller distinction than it sounds until something needs sorting out. She is not the only person threading, though, and the standard is meant to be the same whoever you sit down with.
If you have a favourite, say so when you call and we will book you in with them. Nobody minds, and most people do have one.

Brows take under fifteen minutes. Lash sets and facials need a booked slot, because they run an hour or more.
If you are not sure which service you want, describe what you are after and we will tell you honestly. Sometimes the answer is a cheaper service, and occasionally it is that you should leave your skin alone for a fortnight.
Open Monday to Saturday 10am to 7pm and Sunday 11am to 6pm, inside The Link Walpole on Providence Hwy, with free parking out front.
